This is Day Two of me realizing the importance of lowering the hands in the transition by extending the right elbow. It is a pre-shot drill that Justin Rose uses. I explained it in this previous post.
I finally feel somewhat confident that I can come down in the slot and make proper ball contact. I was even able to hit my Titleist T-MB (3-iron head on 3-iron shaft) driving iron that I had put aside ever since purchasing it.
I will work now on getting the hands even lower, with a flexed left wrist and flat shaft. Then, I will turn the torso to complete the path to the ball. It is this final torso turn that Warren Bottke has been trying to teach me. Brooks Koepka, Dustin Johnson, et al are able to do this.
