The most important move in sports starts with the right elbow

January 23, 2019- by Steven E. Greer, MD

In the video above, I show how to think about moving the right elbow toward the target line, or in front of you, to twist the club shaft flat and achieve great stable body turn. This transition move is common to other sports too, such as throwing a baseball or football. It could be the most important motion in all of sport.

This mental image helps me n a dramatic way. Think about flexing the right pectoralis muscle to drag the right elbow across the thorax. It will distract your brain and the other muscles that normally fight the body turn to relax. Look at the awesome body turn I got instantly.

In addition to this elbow thought, simultaneously taking place is an ulnar deviation of the wrists to help thrown the cub down in a flat plane and avoid getting steep. I discussed this previously.
