How Andrew Putnam became the best putter on tour

February 14, 2020- by Steven E. Greer

I was looking at PGA Tour stats and saw Andrew Putnam as the best putter. I had never seen him, so I looked him up.

I know why he is a pure roller of the ball. He does what I preach, which is to have a slow and smooth long backswing. Click here for the Greer Putting Arc drill to help you do this.

And, for the love of god, don’t ignore your disease with the Band-Aid therapy of going to an unconventional grip. It won’t fix your bad backswing. The stroke to the ball is not the problem. A jerky backswing is the problem.
